Sadie’s Horse Haven

It’s hard to say “nay” to Give Back Tuesday  when it’s for such a humane and compassionate cause. Sadie’s Horse Haven in Santa Rosa is an all volunteer, non profit public charity 501 (c) (3) horse rescue and sanctuary operation whose directors  over the years have developed the skills and experience to give horses the care necessary to ensure they’re psychologically well adjusted and physiologically sound. They specialize in caring for neglected, abused or abandoned horses and equines which are aged or have serious disabilities.
They  also provide educational tours and day camp programs for the community with special consideration for underprivileged children and teens.
The sanctuary was named in honor of a horse named Sadie who was used as a breeding factory and was pregnant with her ninth foal by the time she was eleven years old.  A dekicious buffet will be offered for the usual $5 donation and 10% of the Rainbow’s bar receipts will also be donated.
