OAKLAND - The Oakland A's and announcer Ken Korach agreed Thursday to a four-year contract extension that will keep him as the team's lead play-by-play voice through the 2009 season.
Korach just finished his 10th season with the A's, teaming with the late Bill King as the team's play-by-play voice.
King broadcast A's games for 25 years before his death last month.
"No one can ever replace Bill King, but I'm honored by the faith the A's have shown in me to continue the great tradition of Oakland A's broadcasters," Korach said.
