Violinist Terry Ann Gillette and songwriter-singer Lane Tietgen channel Dylan, Van Morrison and their own original arrangements and tunes. Tide pool program orientation facilitated by staff and docents

Must register online at stewardsofthecoastandredwoods.org.   Introduce school groups to the amazing life in the intertidal zone. Roving Naturalists are available on low-tide weekends to ensure the preservation of the fragile intertidal resources.

Instructor: Karl Menard, Bodega Marine Lab
Join a lively session of tide pool exploration and learn techniques for interpreting this fragile resource with the public, especially children. Bring waterproof boots, a change of clothes, and dress in layers.

Entertainer, entrepreneurs, and radio show hosts (“Metaquizzical Cafe”) Jim and Kathy Ocean combine story telling, music and science into a fascinating potpourri which will reveal fresh concepts and new ways to perceive and receive the cosmos.

The Sistars of Jazz celebrate Lana Turner’s and James Dean’s birthdays with solos, collaborative pieces and good humor. Maple Profant, Darcy Reiner, Noel Yates, Kit Mariah and Jannell Parr are all a talented part of the local music scene. No cover charge. Trio has a diverse menu and full bar.

Free to Be Me, a benefit for Sonoma County Pride, will be the beneficiary of the Russian River Sisters’  Bingo Extravaganza, which has become so popular they’ve moved it from Odd Fellows Hall to Guerneville Vet’s Hall. Each of the games played at each event  is different and require shapes, shout-outs,  alignments and patterns that vary. The pay-outs are generous, and bags of free chachkes are given to lucky raffle ticket holders between each game. Food is available. Must be 18 or over, and alcohol is not permitted. $15 for one bingo card, $20 for two, and raffle tickets are included when you buy a card.  Advance sales at rrsisters.org.
